Churches of darkness

Greetings to all readers,

The purpose of this letter is to warn us of the great apostasy that has infiltrated many churches today. In these perilous times, the bible has warned us of the following:

Matt 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

What do we see in our churches today? We see many had compromised their beliefs in favor of earthly things and materialism. Some twist and turn the Word of God and use it to their own deceptive likings to deceive God’s people, presenting half-truths and messages that are ever pleasing to the ears. Compromises after compromises are made in the name of unity. It would not be long before the formation of the One-World Church will take place, lead by the anti-Christ himself. You asked me how I know. My answer is: from the Word of God.

In this letter I would present a typical message that is preached in many churches today. Now, take heed. Modern “preachers” today have been equipped by excellent communication capabilities that are able to control their audiences’ emotions at a drop of a hat. And they are as well trained as many world-renowned motivational speakers today. They can command their congregations’ absolute loyalty, not unto Jesus, but onto themselves and use it for their well covered unscrupulous purposes as wolves in sheep’s’ clothing. Do beware that the line separating truths and lies are as fine as a thread, and this is why every preacher’s words must be compared with what the Word of God from the Bible says. We must know the Word of God in and out. The preacher can present the finest speeches, his body language and tone perfected in his delivery of the message but the content of the message might well be lies from the depths of hell. And we in our ignorance, may well be fallen into their trap.

2 Corinthians 11: 14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

When presented with a message, here is a guideline to safeguard ourselves. Beware of emotional speeches. They are nothing compared to what the Word of God has to say. Determine in your heart that you would be objective in assessing a message presented by a preacher before ingesting them into your system, and not be swayed around by the preacher’s fancy, controlling how they want you to unconsciously think and agree with them by their subtle cleverness or should I say, deceit. THINK and RETHINK and CONFIRM IT WITH THE WORD OF GOD ALWAYS. Do not just take the speaker’s word for granted. Check them against your bible.

Now this is a chronological summary of a message:

quoted Matthew 4:18-20
And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Drew analogy that by following Jesus, He can take ordinary people and turn them into people that are able to impact the whole world. Giving them influence bigger than they can ever imagine.
Comments: the real intention is to get the people to slowly and “adaptively” buy into the idea that catching men are actually not really preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to them and getting them saved but that of them having desirability and influence just like modern day Hollywood stars who are worshipped and adored by many around the world today. Focus is on “them” and not “God”.

Continued and say that the phrase “Follow Me” comprises of i) Destination and ii) Journey

Said the journey is more important than the destination, and that we must enjoy the journey, for that is what God is more interested in. Analogy to a person getting saved and the preacher take a gun and shoot him and he’ll be in heaven.
Comments: Again trying to give the idea that living in this world along with its deception and materiality is not so bad after all. Heaven’s life is boring. Trying to bring “heaven” on “earth”. Have they really tasted heaven and seen it? I wonder…
Jn3:13 says And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Drew examples of their church itself, talk about their grueling years struggling and how they made it this time after much hard work and that the experience make them stronger.
Comment: Typical I-HAVE-MADE-IT TALK

Went on and said the real meaning of being fishers of men is: having an influence that draw millions of people into the Kingdom of God.
Comment: Exactly what I have said in no.2, they are trying to draw glory unto themselves and not God. Trying to help God win the lost by presenting an “improved Gospel” along with pop concerts and disco lights and rock music.
1cor1:21 say: For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Drew attention to their interpretation of Rm 12:2 of having a renewed mind. Their interpretation of it is getting rid of traditional mindsets and thinking that hampers their creativity, ability and productivity.
Comments: They are willing to compromise any values they have to reach their goals…values here could be obeying the Word of God Himself.

Mix Rm 12:2 and Isaiah 55:8 that the more we renew our minds, the more higher will our thoughts become, and the greater will our ways will be … us being just like God.
Comments: Typical Word of God taken out of context and ad hoc-ly used to prove their point.

Define their own meaning of conversion as: the restoration of all things back to the beginning in Gen 1:1
Comment: Human wisdom trying to understand God’s ways. An ant trying to say to man, “ who are you that I should succumb to your ideas?”

Claim that God’s original purpose is not the redemption of men (they are only secondary) but perfecting the creativity of men for them to operate just like God.
Comment: Where in the bible can this be found? Human “wisdom” or “foolishness”? Putting words into God’s mouth???

Slowly bringing the focus from the Creator God, to God having a creative spirit and us having the same spirit to enable us to solve problems and difficulties and come out with solutions.
Focus attention to Acts 2: 16. Interpret visions and dreams as creative ideas to solve problems and difficulties.
Comments: care to use a dictionary to find out the meaning of the words, vision, dream and idea? In the context mentioned in the bible are they referring to IDEAS???
Diverting attention to creativity being a key to the law of abundance
analogy to Mk 8:1 --------5 loaves feed 5000 12 baskets leftover
--------7 loaves feed 4000 7 baskets leftover
Concluded law of abundance
Comments: btw its 7 to 5 and not 5 to 7. What is Jesus trying to teach here? When He says: How is it that ye do not understand? Is He referring to you?
Quote examples from Michael Dell, Janitor wannabe-turned-tomato entrepreneur as examples of law of abundance in action
Comments: Hey we don’t even know if these guys are Christians. You are playing a politician trying to get the people to be more productive by citing these guys’ examples. If it’s the business of people’s efficiency and productivity you are driving at, why don’t you be a businessman instead?
Drawing attention that in the past hundred years, whenever there is a shortage of energy and resources, human race did not fail to come up with better alternatives and technology to survive. Cite examples of : farmers…car industry…fuel injectors….tapes….audio cassette…cd….minidisc…..mp3….food industry...coal……oil….nature gas…. Conclusion: Implies Don’t worry be happy, everything will be all right. The end of the world will come but it would not be soon. Jesus will come but in the mean time, let’s not worry about anything coz the human race has conquered all kinds of depravity up to this time. No worries. Sit back and relax.

2 Pet 3: 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

This earth is like a pile of rubbish prepared for the day whereby it would be judged by fire and would be burnt down…and all our works in it. Do you believe this?

Main point quoted: for the past 6000 years, man in their fallen state of perversion and corruption are able to carry human society through advancement in technological breakthroughs….what more if men are in their redeemed state? Implying: enhanced humans being a difference between a Christian and a non-Christian
Main purpose: Serve community and society. Analogy to John Sung. Compare himself to being a greater achiever than John Sung for being able to bring God’s people into the kingdom of God in a much shorter period of time than John Sung.
Comments: far from it. You are nothing compared to John Sung. Yes crowds attracted by the big crowds and the glitz and lights. But are they truly saved? This sure gives a new meaning to the phrase: CHEAP GRACE isn’t it? You pharisees!
Focus on the need to revamp church ministry to make it into pop-like concert to attract young people who are bored of the traditional churches.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Acts2: 17
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Heb 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
